My husband and I are Behavior Assistants, trying to become Certified Behavioral therapists, our hope is to one day own our own agency ( homeless shelter, clinic, Transitional housing, something to that affect, lol) . We now work with children and adults who have Autism and other Developmental Disabilities. Basically we have a heart for helping others! Welcome to "my" little thing called happiness!

It's been way too long!

I'm going to start today and challenge myself to blog at least 2 updates a week. Plus I'm starting a new journey u will hear more about and think it may be a good record and outlet to blog about it.

School Days

So our summer was awesome and very eventful, and I still ahve many pictures and stories to catch up on, so look out for those!

Madison (our kindergartener) and Christian (our PreK 4er) on the First day of School <3
But we have now started school, and although it's been quite CRaZy!!! the kids are definitely shining. So of course mom has been taking lots of pics of the kiddies, I love the way they look in their uniforms!! What can I say I'm mommy! :)

Christian

Noah hanging with his Big sister and brother
So Noah has been home all alone, lol, the first day f school he was a little lost and bored, he was literally walking around the house, looking around aimlessly, poor guy! But it didn't take him long to figure out, he was the king while Maddy and Chris were gone! Now he's so amazingly GOOD, and eating up all of the attention!

Good Morning!

Madison has been doing Awesome in school, she is so SMART, and loves her class and teacher!

Putting on her name tag the 1st day and ready to Shine Brightly!

Big Boy is ready to go (Sort of)

Cuties

So Christian was up and ready to go his 1st day of school, in a great mood, and so happy to go, until we got there....

Chris had cried almost everyday of school, and we are a month into it. Once we leave he is totally fine, but he breaks mom's heart every morning. Poor guy, he has 13 more years to go he'll get used to it eventually..... RIGHT!

Madison and Buddy
So 3 weeks into school, my big girl was STUDENT OF THE WEEK for good behavior and lots of points (we love positive reinforcement, it totally works for her), woo hoo, I'm such a proud momma!!! And that meant she got to bring her class pet, Buddy, home! She was on cloud 9, and of course Paul and I wanted to encourage this, so we made a HUGE deal of this. And MAddy got to go to have Cold Stone icecream with mom, dad, and Buddy on Saturday night!

Great Job Madison, Mommy and Daddy are so proud of you!!!!!

That's it for now, plenty more to come..........

Some Highlights-Good Times

Originally I wanted to post at the end of the month, a few highlights and things that have gone on with our fam, Here is one I never posted........

So we started our year off right, ringing in the New Year with family! It was fun times!

Happy New Year!!

Paul and I have this amazing feeling that 2011 is OUR year! So we actually made out some goals and aspirations  for this year! We know that God has blessed us with so many opportunities and gifts, and this will be our year to SHINE!

So far we have not been disappointed......

January was an eventful and fun month:

The first week of January the family went to the Barnum and Bailey Circus together for the first time, courtesy of Grammy, as a Christmas gift! Paul and I had not been to the circus since we were dating ( about 8 years ago)!

The kids had a blast, their faces lit up, after each stunt or amazing trick!

Christian and Madison

Paul's having a blast, huh! LOL

Mommy and Christian

And the best part for mom and dad.....

The kids were beat, and knocked out in the car ride home! :)

Later in January, I was approached by a friend who recently started her own company and needed a Behavior Assistant for a client, I knew I had wanted to start getting my hours to become a Certified Behavior Analyst, but it would have to be worth my while, to lose my vacation, and benefits! After some contemplating, I was offered another client out of the blue from another person. This meant I could afford to take the plunge. Everything seemed to fall into place! SO on January 11th, I DID it. I gave my resignation! What an amazing feeling, of accomplishment! I feel like it is a HUGE move Forward! Like I said, 2011, will and has been amazing!!!

And then comes February....

So, I began training, and February 1st was my last "official" day of FULL TIME salaried work! I was now on my own, and Independent contractor! I'm helping out though and doing a few hours a week, until they find my replacement. I love working with the kids hands on, working with parents was great but NOT what I wanted to do forever! My kids are great, they keep me on my toes, but I've always liked to learn under the most challenging of situations first!

So after starting the next chapter in my life things have been so exciting and constantly changing.....

February was also my little brother Jonathan's 18th Birthday, and we celebrated at the Cheesecake Factory, YUM!

And of course FEBRUARY we got our beloved MAC BOOK!!! Enough said......

At the end of February, to celebrate our new changes, we rented a hotel room in South Beach at the Whitelaw hotel, and invited some close friends and fam!! Let's say it was a much needed good time! We had an amazing night, that continued on into the next day. We will never be able to recreate that night for sure...

Beautiful Morning!

On our way home from the BEST time EVER!

My Love and Happiness

Happiness give me the strength
I need
Happiness teaches us what the,
life means
A loving word and gentle kiss
It's like a sunflower; it follows,
the things you enjoy in your,
life

Happiness is the hey to success
Happiness never takes you down
You are my happiness
You sooth me when I am angry

Eliminating passion is not happiness
Happiness is
Having someone by your side to,
love

One thing is happiness to me
is you.

Blogging is harder then I thought!

So I haven't blogged in a while, to be completely honest I was a little disheartened. So I've been reading some of my favorite blogs, for inspiration and ideas. And one of the tips I've heard over and over has been to figure out what kind of blog I want to have. Honestly I started this for fun, I have all of these creative juices and have no idea how to channel them! Also, I realize that with the 3 kiddies, work, etc., I have no time whatsoever! LOL, So no ear, i'm going to just jump in and see where this thing heads on it's own! I don't really even care what kind of blog I have, I just want to share a little laughter and happiness with my family and friends out there!
